Tengrinews.kz - A strange scene unfolded at the American Seattle-Tacoma airport. An impatient Alaska Airlines passenger decided to leave the plane in an unusual way - by going out through the door onto the wing, with a link to 9news.com.
A passenger on Alaska Airlines flight 323 from Milwaukee, instead of calmly exiting through the main ramp, opened the emergency exit and ended up on the wing of the plane.
The incident occurred on December 23 at about 5 PM local time, when the plane had already pulled up to the gate and the rest of the passengers were starting to leave the cabin. Eyewitnesses say that the woman opened the emergency exit door and, without hesitation, climbed out.
The situation was quickly taken under control by airport staff: a Seattle port medic helped the passenger calm down, after which she was taken to a local hospital.
Aviation Expert Scott Hamilton noted that in such cases, both criminal charges and their absence are possible. It all depends on the person's condition and their intentions.
"If somebody is having an anxious episode or is having some kind of mental capacity issue and there's clearly no intent of some kind, you just kind of go with the flow, so to speak and what would be the point of charging that person?" he explained.
The FBI was notified of the incident, but the question of further measures will be decided by the US Attorney's Office.
