Tengrinews.kz - Kazakhstan's Minister of Emergency Situations Chingis Arinov spoke about the progress of implementing the flood modeling system.
According to the minister, flood modeling is a large-scale project.
"It requires digitization of the terrain. It is possible to model, but the results will be inaccurate if we don't account for all these factors. This process is costly, and we have not yet fully digitized the terrain. The necessary work is underway," Arinov said during a government briefing.
Journalists reminded the minister about the Prime Minister's order to complete the "Flood forecasting and modeling" system by January 20, 2025.
"We have completely revised the management structure, and the required systems have been put in place. We will finish this work by the designated deadline, and I believe we will achieve the desired result," Arinov stated.
He also assured that "not a single tenge" would be spent unnecessarily on the project.
