Tengrinews.kz – Maulen Ashimbayev, Chairman of the Senate, spoke at the XXII Session of the Secretariat of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Astana.
During his address, Ashimbayev discussed the topic of artificial intelligence.
"Another pressing challenge facing humanity that has sparked numerous discussions is the rapid development of neural networks and artificial intelligence. Today, digital technologies offer vast opportunities for progress, but they also present new challenges," Ashimbayev noted.
The Chairman of the Senate highlighted significant risks that may arise if these new opportunities are exploited for destructive purposes.
"According to experts, one of the main threats in the information sphere is the widespread dissemination of malicious misinformation and fake news. Resources of artificial intelligence could also be utilized for these purposes. This can lead to various conflicts among ethnic, religious, and social groups," Ashimbayev added.
Previously, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has proposed optimizing Kazakhstan's court system with the help of artificial intelligence.
