Tengrinews.kz - The Minister for Emergency Situations, Chingis Arinov, announced that the steppe fire on the territory of Bayanaul National Park in Pavlodar region has been completely localized.
During a government meeting, the minister stated that an operational headquarters of the ministry has been set up to coordinate forces and resources, and a field operational headquarters is also functioning in the village of Zheltau in Pavlodar region.
"On October 6, a grass fire occurred in the Karaganda region, which spread to the territory of Bayanaul National Park in Pavlodar region. The fire is being managed by the vice minister, and forces and resources from the ministry have been deployed, with additional groups sent from the Abai, Akmolinsk regions and Astana. Aircraft from the Ministry of Defense and the National Guard have also been engaged," said Chingis Arinov.
In addition, the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations noted that the steppe fire in Pavlodar region has been localized.
"The personnel are carrying out monitoring work. Similar operations are planned for today in Karaganda region. Also, last night, rescuers extinguished a fire in Kostanay region near the border with Russia," the minister reported.
Recall: on October 6, a fire broke out in dry grass near the village of Koyandy in the Karkaraly district of the Karaganda region. A steppe fire reached the territory of a local farm in the Pavlodar region, covering an area of about 6,000 hectares.
