Tengrinews.kz - The mother of conscript soldier Yerbayan Mukhtar, who sustained a head injury during service, Gulsum Kamieva, spoke about the preparation of her son for treatment abroad.
According to her, they are facing difficulties with the documents.
"Right now, the passport isn't suitable. The photo didn’t meet the requirements, so a new document should be ready within 15 days, and we’re waiting for that. Our other documents are ready," Kamieva said at a press conference in Astana.
The soldier's mother expressed hope that all issues would be resolved within two weeks.
"We are considering several clinics abroad and are currently in negotiations. We expect a decision within two weeks. My son is being prepared for transportation with the support of the Minister of Health Akmaral Alnazarova," added Gulsum Kamieva.
Earlier, the National Guard's press service announced an investigation into the head injury sustained by serviceman Yerbayan Mukhtar.
Recall: Yerbayan Mukhtar was hospitalized in December 2023, where he underwent five surgeries, all of which were unsuccessful. His parents were told by the National Guard unit, where he was serving, that he had fallen in the restroom and hit his head on the tile.
The soldier's condition was addressed by the Minister of Health Akmaral Alnazarova.
It's worth noting that on September 2, during his address to the people of Kazakhstan, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the importance of maintaining order within the Kazakh army.
