Tengrinews.kz – A Kazakh tourist fell from a mountain peak into a ravine near Almaty, he broke his arm and leg. He required rescue assistance.
Details of the incident were provided by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
"The message about the injured man in the ravine came in the evening. The 21-year-old man, who fell on the Bashuta peak of the Zailiyskiy Alatau, required transportation," the statement says.
Rescuers from the Republican Operational-Rescue Squad of the Ministry of Emergency Situations arrived at the scene and provided first aid by applying splints to the injured areas.
Using climbing equipment and stretchers, they evacuated the victim from an altitude of 3,400 meters and handed him over to ambulance staff.
