Tengrinews.kz - A 21-year-old woman strangled her daughters. The murdered girls were 2 and 4 years old.
The crime occurred in April this year. The mother strangled her two daughters: two-year-old Mia and four-year-old Karina - when they asked for food. She did not harm the third girl, who was six months old.
The court found that the defendant and her three daughters lived with her partner in the village of Bukhar-Zhyrau district. When the man left for work, he locked them in the house.
According to the prosecution, the stress of the children's lack of money, food and constant crying was compounded by the fact that the mother was locked out of the house. After the children cried again, she told the older girls to lie on the bed, covered them with a blanket and strangled them.
The defendant partially pleaded guilty, claiming that she did not want to kill the children, but just wanted to calm them down. The defence lawyer asked to change the charge from murder to causing death by negligence.
"The article provides for 20 years or life imprisonment. Since life imprisonment is not imposed on women, the sentence has not yet entered into legal force," the Karaganda Region press service said.
It should be noted that the defendant had three daughters, the youngest was only six months old at the time of the crime. After the detention of the mother, the little girl was placed in a baby home.
