Tengrinews.kz - Instagram has been blocked in Turkey. The reasons and duration of the blockade have not been officially disclosed.
Turkish publication Birgün reported that the decision may be linked to the platform's removal of condolences related to the killing of one of the leaders of the Palestinian movement Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, in Iran.
Fahrettin Altun, Head of the Turkish Presidential Communications Directorate, described Instagram's actions as "an attempt at censorship." Following this, Turkey's Information and Communications Technology Authority imposed a block on the social network.
"No explanations have been provided regarding the reason for the access block or its duration," the publication concluded.
