This is the story of Iacopo Trapletti, who left Coldrerio, in canton Ticino in southern Switzerland, for the Springfontein Wine Estate, in South Africa, to learn the secrets of wine and how to apply them in his family's wine business. "Something had to change, so I thought the only way was to leave, to go abroad. New culture, new people, new language, new challenges," said the young winemaker. Iacopo Trapletti is in his early twenties. He doesn't know much of the world. But he knows it doesn't end in Coldrerio, where he was born and raised.
