HBO has worked for years to get the Chicago Bears on Hard Knocks. Not only are they a massive media market, but they carry a huge fanbase with tons of NFL history. At last, the league pounced on the opportunity to put the franchise on the show. The timing felt perfect. Chicago had drafted Caleb Williams #1 overall. The team is young and filled with unique characters. It was a golden opportunity to renew interest in the series. At last, the channel put out the first trailer for the upcoming debut episode.
Needless to say, it was an excellent hype job.
If nothing else, this team will be fun to watch. Williams has already established himself as a big personality. Early signs from training camp suggest he’s progressing quickly. The defense is littered with trash talkers. That always makes for great television. Head coach Matt Eberflus is a good teacher who always seems to bring a strong message. GM Ryan Poles is intelligent and honest. Combine all of this with the inevitable glances into Chicago Bears history and you’ll get a great viewing experience. That is without mentioning the fun roster battles set to unfold during the preseason. Get your popcorn ready.
