A brief overview of the recent developments in Syria:
- On January 11, Russia reported that Idlib militants violated the ceasefire regime in Greater Idlib 21 times: 10 – in Idlib province, 8 – in Latakia province, 3 – in Aleppo province;
- On January 10, artillery of Turkish-backed forces shelled positions of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the Tal Tamar area wounding 13 people;
- On January 10, the Russian Military Police sent new reinforcements to the town of Ain Issa;
- On January 10, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) attacked Turklish-backed militants near Ankawi village reportedly killing 11 of them;
- On January 11, Russian and Turkish forces carried out a joint patrol in the Ain al-Arab area;
- On January 10, Kurdish internal security forces released several SAA members in Qamishli thanks to the Russian meditation. Nonetheless, the situation still remains tense.
