The Israeli military announced on June 7 that it had thwarted an attempt by the Hamas Movement to smuggle missile-manufacturing materials into the Palestinian Gaza Strip via sea.
The army’s spokesman unit released a short video of the failed attempt showing Israeli attack helicopter firing warning shots at the alleged smuggling boat before it was apprehended by two patrol boats of the Israeli Navy’s 916 fleet.

The Israeli military didn’t release any photos of the supposed “missile-manufacturing materials” or provide any information on them.
The Hamas Movement and the Islamic Jihad Movement (IJM) are known for locally-manufacturing several types of rockets, some with a range of more than 100km. Both groups are reportedly receiving financial and technical support from Iran.
