???? not sure what you were trying to post Phil, but for anyone doubting the verity of the chimblee theme at the Powerhouse - in the 19th century it was estimated that Birmingham had around 2,000 factory chimneys, the skyiline would have been thick with them - here's just one old print that gives an idea.
Imagine if the opening home game was against the vile……
"Chim-Chim-Cherooo..."
Going to hit like crack at that first home game of the 30/31 season.
Feel a bit sorry for her today that we are moving on its gave me some great times and hopefully some more to come before it comes to an end lets get her back to her best over the coming years....
Definitely. It's 5 years at least away anyway.
Hopefully now the big reveal is done, the SQ can go on the back burner for all the fans and Stans will be front and centre again.
The improvements to it are huge, let's not forget that and as has been said, as sad a day it'll be, when it finally comes I think excitement for the future will trump nostalgia.
One thing - whether you love the architecture, hate it or are somewhere in the middle, at least it isn’t a soulless bowl in a retail park a la madejski for reading when they built that.
It’s all very exciting whatever your view point.

The other 60+ is the housing developments that KH are selling off... The ones the vilers keep telling us about.
So then - what's everyone's plans (and I don't mean people like Dan bragging that they're out there...) ?
I'm torn about whether to do an 8.30pm bedtime and get up at 2.30am for the whole thing, or just watch the second session from about 5.15
I don't wanna miss the first ball but it's genuinely draining doing that.
Might do what i did for the 2021 version and turn off after one ball. Seeing Burns leg stump going cartwheeling was the perfect portent for what was to come.
Let's see what happens in theirs.
Didn't seem to be a terrible pitch to be playing on though.
Oddly scored runs despite how fast that happened.

Some bright spark needs to find a way to link them to the two towers from Lord of the Rings in another big nod to local history.
Just imagine a f*ck off big eye of sauron blazing across the sky on a night game...
Charcy
Isn't it just implicit? He was influenced by the chimneys that the design of the stadium is influenced by?
Also I don't want to be nerdy Lord of the rings club.
First year the stadium opens, how many season tickets do you think we sell (providing prices stay the same as now in real terms)?
A) in the Championship
B) in the Premier League
I think we would sell 35-40k in the Championship, and maybe 45k in the Prem.
I honestly think we’d sell out most games if we were in the Prem and get 50k+ in the Championship for the first year or two.
The challenge then is to ensure the product on the pitch keeps people coming after the novelty wears off.

Is this a way of tagging another poster into a thread? I know it's used for this on other forums.
