Shia LaBeouf & Mia Goth's Marriage Gets A Shocking Update Amid His Arrest
Amid news of Shia LaBeouf’s arrest in New Orleans, reports are emerging about the status of his marriage to actress Mia Goth.
Page Six reports that LaBeouf and Goth privately separated in mid 2025. It is unclear if they have filed for divorce. The Frankenstein actress, 32, and LaBeouf, 39, had an on-and-off romance that began in 2012. They welcomed a daughter together in 2022.
Per Page Six, LaBeouf moved to Louisiana after their breakup to be closer to family. In the early hours of Tuesday, February 17, the Transformers star was arrested after allegedly assaulting two men in an altercation inside a bar.
LaBeouf’s arrest comes after The Hollywood Reporter reported that he was on an extended bar crawl in New Orleans in the lead-up to Mardi Gras, with one bartender telling the outlet, “He is terrorizing the city!” In 2020, the actor blamed his abusive behavior toward ex-girlfriend FKA twigs on his alcoholism and later claimed to be sober.
LaBeouf and Goth met on the set of Nymphomaniac: Vol. II, when she was 19 and he was 26. In 2016, they married in a Las Vegas ceremony, which was livestreamed on TMZ. They were infamously filmed having an intense argument in 2015, after which LaBeouf told someone filming that if he stayed at the scene with Goth, he “would have killed her.”
LaBeouf and Goth were broken up between 2018 and 2020, even filing for divorce. During this time, LaBeouf dated FKA Twigs, who later accused him of physical abuse. After another on-off period following their 2020 reconciliation, which included LaBeouf’s brief romance with Margaret Qualley, Goth was seen with a baby bump while out with LaBeouf in 2022.
In August 2022, LaBeouf confirmed the birth of his daughter in a letter to his former Don’t Worry Darling director Olivia Wilde, whuch was published by Variety. “I have a little girl, Isabel; she is five months old and just beginning to develop the last half of her laugh; it’s AMAZING,” he wrote. “Mia, my wife & I have found each other again & are journeying toward a healthy family with love and mutual respect.”
Later that month, LaBeouf spoke about getting back together with Goth during an appearance on Jon Bernthal’s REAL ONES podcast. “She saved my f—— life,” the Holes star said. “She was present for me at a time when I didn’t deserve to have nobody in my life, especially her.”
