Bindi Irwin’s Daughter Grace Is the Picture of Happiness as She Enjoys a Classic Summer Activity
Despite the cooler temperatures in the US, its summertime in Australia — and Bindi Irwin’s daughter Grace Warrior, 4, is enjoying it immensely. The toddler raises her arms in delight in a new photo doing a classic summer activity, and it makes us long for the warmer months!
“Grace is loving summer @australiazoo!” Bindi’s mom (and Grace’s “Bunny”) Terri Irwin wrote on Instagram. She shared a snap of Grace at a waterpark section of the zoo, with jets of water shooting in the air. She’s sitting on the beak of a giant platypus play structure, dressed in a swimsuit and a bucket hat. Both arms are raised above her head as she smiles, clearly having the time of her life. What’s summer without some amazing water fun?
Bindi commented on the sweet snap, “So happy ❤️❤️❤️” Another person commented, “Grace looks like she’s having an absolute blast ????????”
“The little mermaid on a platypus. ????” another person commented.
Earlier this month, the wildlife conservationist shared a heartwarming video of her daughter throughout 2025. This adorable highlight reel included moments of Grace petting a kangaroo, feeding a baby goat, petting a koala, playing with a turtle, visiting Disneyland, and dressing up in ballgowns to support her uncle Robert Irwin on Dancing with the Stars.
“2025 was a year of enormous growth and I’m forever grateful for every single moment I got to share with my family. ❤️”
Bindi, who shares Grace with husband Chandler Powell, has previously talked about how important the power of play is. “We were kind of this wild family,” Bindi told SheKnows about growing up with Terri and dad Steve Irwin, who died in 2006. “I grew up within Australia Zoo, so my home and my backyard is a sanctuary filled with wildlife. Growing up, we traveled a lot for our conservation work as well, and no matter where we were or what we were doing, we would always have playtime together as a family.”
“I was always running around in the creek or running around with animals or climbing a tree,” she continued. “Honestly, looking back, I now really revel in the fact that I was so lucky to be able to have that childhood. I feel very, very blessed that I got that time with my family to run around as a wild child. And it was so much fun!”
And now she gets to carry on that special childhood tradition with daughter Grace. We love to see it!
