Being an older sibling is no joking matter, and apparently, Olivia Munn and John Mulaney’s 2-year-old son Malcolm takes this job “extremely seriously.” The comedian opened up about how his toddler treats his baby sister Méi, 2 months, and it’s the cutest thing we’ve ever heard.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight recently, the All In: Comedy About Love by Simon Rich star told the cutest story about little Malcolm. “He has been great,” Mulaney said about Malcolm. “He’s really psyched when she squeaks or makes a noise, and he loves her a lot, you know?” So sweet!
Mulaney may be taking a little bit of advantage of this older brother love, though. He told the outlet, “I’ve been asking Malcolm to eat well, so that Méi Méi sees how to eat well.”
He noted that although it’ll be a while before Méi can eat solid food, he’s doing his part to encourage Malcolm. “He has really morphed into the role,” Mulaney continued. “He’s taking [the responsibilities] extremely seriously.”
The 2024 GQ Man of the Year reiterated in an interview with PEOPLE how much Malcolm enjoys having a sibling. “He likes it. It’s interesting, with our daughter, she’s two months old so she doesn’t do much,” the comedian said. “And I think the first couple of weeks he thought she might be a toy because she’d squeak and he’d be like, ‘How do I make it do that again?’ Now I think he gets it, that this is a little girl, yeah.” That is the cutest thing I’ve ever heard!
Munn shared some photos of Malcolm in action on her Instagram recently, captioned, “Two months today ????” The pictures were full of sweet moments of Méi playing with her dad, smiling at her mom, and more. But our favorites were slides 11 and 12, where Malcolm gives his sister a big kiss and helps his mom push Méi in the stroller.
He is such a cute big brother, and we are living for these adorable family moments!
