Keke Palmer’s baby Leodis “Leo” is giving a new meaning to Short King Summer! The 18-month-old looked absolutely darling in a tiny blue suit for his mom’s birthday celebration, and the pictures are adorable.
The Bosses star shared several pictures on Instagram of her 31st birthday, where she was all done up for the celebration. Her hair was pulled back, her makeup was professional done, and she looked gorgeous in a silky champagne dress dripping with gold jewelry. But Leo stole the show. Slide to the end of the carousel to see her baby boy in a light blue jacket with black lapels and a white button-down shirt underneath. It’s paired with black pants and little black dress shoes — and he’s ready for the Academy Awards in this ‘fit! Palmer holds him in the photos, and he even looks at the camera to smile. A birthday miracle!
Leo chews on his hand in another photo, where Palmer kisses his cheek at the same time her ex (and Leo’s dad) Darius Jackson kisses his other cheek. The cute snap is a perfect example of how two people can still enjoy a co-parenting relationship even when they are broken up.
“I don’t want to be long I just wanna be clear! I AM GRATEFUL TO GOD FOR ANOTHER YEAR!” Palmer wrote in her lengthy caption, adding that she wanted to celebrate her community on her birthday “because they are the ones that got me this far.” She continued, “We are all alone in this world, we come in alone and we go out alone but what we share is this experience. In that shared experience we know what it’s like to be as one in togetherness, in that community is where God lives. In that love, that hope and that joy. I am forever grateful to know that and to have that.”
Celebrities and fans wished her well. “happy birthday!!! ❤️” fellow boy mom Halle Bailey wrote. Issa Rae commented, “Happy Birthday, icon!” Christina Milian said, “Happy birthday beautiful woman!”
“LEO getting so big????,” someone else wrote.
In an interview with E! News earlier this month, the Nope star revealed that being a mom changed her life “in ways I didn’t expect.” She added, “The funny thing about it, the child is the most responsible you can be. Having a child is going to bring a certain level of responsibility that nothing else will.”
“I need to be the best for him and to be the best for him, I gotta be the best me. I’m not gonna be able to be the best me for him if I’m not focusing on the things that make me the best I can be.”
