It seems Meghan Markle has another, surprising friend in Hollywood: Kimberly Williams-Paisley, also known as the actress who played the daughter Annie in the 1991 film Father of the Bride.
In case you missed it, Meghan made a rare public outing to the Italian restaurant Tre Lune on July 21 with Williams-Paisley. The pair were seen in summer-casual looks at the Montecito hotspot, as seen in photos obtained by DailyMail. While Williams-Paisley looked radiant in a blue button-down dress, Meghan looked so glamorous in a look that paid homage to a similar outfit Princess Diana wore: blue jeans, a loose white button-down, and a Cartier watch.
So, how the heck do these two stars know each other? We have no idea, since they’ve never worked on a project together and their children are nowhere near the same ages. However, there is one thing they share: their alma mater.
Both Meghan and Williams-Paisley attended Northwestern University. Meghan graduated in 2003 with a double major in theater and international studies, while Williams-Paisley graduated ten years prior, in 1993 with a degree in drama.
We tried to see if there was more of a connection between these two. While we know they both got degrees in theater, they both pledged sororities: Meghan with Kappa Kappa Gamma and Williams-Paisley with Alpha Phi.
Other celeb pals that Meghan has are Priyanka Chopra, Serena Williams, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, Tyler Perry, Abigail Spencer, and now, Williams-Paisley. Not much else is known about this friendship, but we can’t wait to find out more about this.
