Is it time to consider Jack Smith on the wing for Roberts? Also I reckon McDonnell will be fit; does he replace Bentley or Goudemand, or remain unselected? Holroyd hopefully will be fit too. Would like to see TNW get a run too if there’s a chance.

There was no reaction or animosity from Currie so i think he accepted it as an unfortunate accident.

For me, much as I hate to say it, there is little doubt that we are to be second best in the city for a while at least, but perhaps there is some hope with the players we have coming through. I was proud of their efforts last night. Smith is the most experienced coach in the British game and has done it time and again so I wouldn't agree that we should get rid because who better would we get in. At least he is someone who everyone at the club respects and he's pretty switched on as far as the game is concerned. Читать дальше...

By the letter of the laws it was a red card. Not debatable. However the law is clearly wrong, accidents happen and if Brown had the cut would Currie be sent off? Crazy night. I don’t thing Hull would have won so the result outcome is the same. Warrington are a poor side, unfit. And clueless. Hull need some luck but the first two games shows little prospect of anything other than bottom 4.

Yeah I agree with that so we can't get too carried away. But he does look in better shape physically than last year, and he held up well against the Wigan pack too. We saw glimpses last season and I think there's definitely a SL player in there. We just need to see it for more than 4 or 5 games.
..but accidental headbumps won't be a sending off offence.

I feel like French has a really good opportunity to prolong his career over here as a stand off. If he goes back he’s really limiting his playing opportunities and potentially cutting short his career by a few years.
From a professional point of view, staying here would seem to be the best option, but if it’s a personal decision to go back then fair play to him.
One thing is for certain, he’s been absolute magic to watch and we have been lucky to have had him! Читать дальше...

Hi All,
Been a viewer of the forum for as long as I remember but never really had an account. With the season starting soon and the cup competitions ongoing, I thought it was important to have a thread discussing the other Championship clubs and see what our oppositions are up to. A bit like a general chat on the full Champ.
Sorry if this has already been started and I've just missed it!

As we started all this controversy with the sending off of Sao,Pele and the card suspension for Essee i wonder if it will be Hull FC that finishes all these ridiculous new rules given last nights red card decision.
Such is the backlash in the sport there is no way that Brown will be suspended but the RFL will have to go away and rethink the game.
Wonder which team will be the first to walk off the pitch if this continues

Research in the NFL, dramatised in the film Concussion, suggests that significant damage to the brain of the athlete is caused by the whiplash-like effect of the challenge, father than direct head contact. The film shows an example of an apple in a jar, regardless of what you wrap the jar in, if you shake it it gets bashed around.
If you genuinely wanted to limit the impact of head injuries, that would be the focus. In practice, something that could be changed is the 10 meter defensive line... Читать дальше...
I'll start by saying I am in disbelief at how the sport is going, however, I'm trying to see it from the PoV of the RFL. They are clearly in a pickle.
They have ex-players chasing them for compensation. They have insurance companies refusing to insure the players. They have brain specialists worldwide talking about the risk of head impacts and concussion.
How would you handle it differently? The players, coaches and fans are all clearly upset with the changes, but what else are the... Читать дальше...

Max looks really hard…wasn’t sure if he had a niggle as he looked rather stiff to start, I was worried the coach might pull him off..

Having seen a couple of Bradford games this year, I think at best they are 4th in the league but not seen anything of Toulouse yet so could be 3rd, but Toulouse & Fev would be a better gauge, throw in to that York and Sheffield and outsiders Doncaster, They could finish out of the playoffs.

It’s about time the faceless wonders at the RFL & MRP came out to explain themselves and the damage they have already done and continue to do to what used to be a great sport.

Posting current litigation & court actions due, one needs to understand the law term of " duty of care"
Legal duty which are onerous to the provider in Law of "Tort" Law of Tort is a very onerous legal term.
No one or body has ever beaten this legal duty.
However one has to prove lack of duty of care & in extreme cases if negligence is proven the full weight of the law will side against you & your actions not only in fines but corporate actions against individuals & bodies or companies & yes government bodies. Читать дальше...
