The Royals must soldier on without Vinnie.
The Royals found out they will not have RBI-machine Vinnie Pasquantino for 6-8 weeks with a broken thumb, which will likely end his season after a collision last night with Yanier Diaz at first base. Nick Loftin was called up to replace Vinnie on the roster, but his void leaves a hole in the lineup.
The Royals will have to battle without him, and they’ll have All-Star pitcher Seth Lugo on the mound tonight. He’s been a bit shaky since the Midsummer Classic, going 3-4 with a 5.20 ERA in seven starts since then.
