CNN anchors called a new exit poll on Tuesday night "brutal" for Vice President Kamala Harris.
David Chalian revealed exit poll results for Arizona, Michigan and Wisconsin, where voters were asked their opinion of President Joe Biden. In Arizona, 57 percent of voters said they disapproved of Biden. In Michigan, that number was 55 percent.
"Wisconsin is a different story," said Chalian — where 61 percent of voters disapprove of Biden, compared to just 38 percent approval. "That is below where he is nationally."
Anchor Jake Tapper joked that the poll showed the race would've been "very different" had Biden remained in the race against former President Donald Trump. After the race is all said and done, he said there will be a lot of "finger pointing" among Democrats - and then cast a dour note on what the exit polls mean for Harris in those states.

"These approval ratings for Joe Biden are brutal," he said.
Bash agreed, noting 6 in 10 in Wisconsin disapprove of the president.
"It is brutal," she said. "There's no other way to look at it. That is, no question, a big headwind for Kamala Harris despite the fact that she has tried to separate herself."
Bash said the Harris campaign is certainly looking at that number and saying, "We hope that that does not bleed into Harris and the actual votes."
