Former White House adviser Peter Navarro, a convicted criminal, lashed out at a comedian who told racist jokes that were likely approved by former President Donald Trump's campaign staff.
Among other jokes, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe took a racist jab at Puerto Rico during Trump's Sunday rally at Madison Square Garden.
"I don't know if you know this but there's literally a floating island of garbage in the middle of the ocean right now. I think it's called Puerto Rico," Hinchcliffe said.
On Monday, Navarro condemned Hinchcliffe with a post on X.
"No one worked harder for Puerto Rico after the hurricanes hit than @realDonaldTrump," Navarro insisted. "@tonyhinchcliffe must be the biggest, stupidest a--hole that ever came down the comedy pike. Never loved insult comedians (other than Rickles)."

The Trump campaign also rushed to disavow the joke Sunday evening.
According to The Daily Beast, Hinchcliffe's remarks were "pre-loaded into a teleprompter, indicating that they would likely have been vetted by the campaign in advance."
