Former President Donald Trump gave a shout-out Tuesday to a North Carolina candidate who reportedly described himself as a pro-slavery Black Nazi on a porn site.
Trump praised Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson during a rally in North Carolina — where the controversial lawmaker is campaigning to become governor — weeks after a CNN investigation linked him to disturbing commentary on the porn site Nude Africa.
"He's a great one," Trump said. "Mark Robinson, he's out there, he's fighting."
According to CNN, the controversial commentary included Robinson admitting he used to spy on women in locker rooms and saying he would welcome the return of slavery.

"Slavery is not bad," Robinson reportedly wrote. "Some people need to be slaves. I wish they would bring it (slavery) back. I would certainly buy a few."
Robinson denies the report and calls it a political hit piece, but has yet to provide evidence that the comments were manufactured with the use of artificial intelligence.
Fellow Republicans were reportedly met with "dead silence" when they urged the former president to push Robinson to drop out of the gubernatorial race.
Trump endorsed Robinson in March despite his history of decrying a woman's right to vote, quoting Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler and denying the Holocaust.
Vice President Kamala Harris almost immediately attacked on Trump's ties to Robinson, releasing a campaign ad that declared, "Donald Trump and Mark Robinson — they're both wrong for North Carolina."
