Critics of Donald Trump ridiculed the former president on Wednesday after he tried to insult Howard Stern as a "Beta male."
Stern's show was once a favorite platform for Trump to flaunt his bravado — dozens of conversations that would later come back to bite him in 2016. As Stern voices support for Vice President Kamala Harris in the election, the ex-president attacked the 6-foot-5 Stern, whining he was a "Beta male" over a "puff" interview piece with Harris.
Longtime Democratic strategist Sawyer Hackett noted a distinction between the two candidates' activities as a massive Category 4 hurricane barreled toward Florida.

"While Kamala Harris is attending briefings and urging folks to prepare for Hurricane Milton, Trump is tweeting about “BETA MALE” Howard Stern. Aren’t we tired of this?" asked Hackett.
The comedy news site JoeMyGod mocked Trump as the "felon" who is simply "raging."
Internet personality and writer Andrea Junker quipped, "One thing that genuinely does mystify me, with no snark: Trump is one of the least masculine, least adult people in public life. Needy, whiny, defensive, pleading, scared of women & terrified of more powerful men. I’m at a loss about why Trump’s base sees him as manly or 'alpha.'"
The super PAC No Dems Left Behind recalled, "Trump loved Howard Stern when Trump used to go on his show and brag about barging in on naked beauty contestants at the pageants he ran."
Tom Wellborn of "The Political Mix" shared RawStory's report on Threads, remarking, "Trump's attack on Howard Stern reeks of desperation."
"Calling Stern a 'beta male' after a Kamala Harris interview shows Trump's fragile ego is bruised by anyone who challenges him," said Wellborn. "Harris nailed it—Trump fears fact-checks because he knows his lies won’t hold up. This is pure projection from a man terrified of his own weakness."
One Threads user cautioned Trump against angering Stern, given how many recordings he has of past interviews.
Another jokingly asked whether Trump's pseudonym, John Barron, called Stern yet to complain.
