Former President Donald Trump on Friday evening complained bitterly about an outspoken Republican foe who received praise after campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris, a candidate she once criticized.
Trump, the Republican presidential nominee, appeared outraged that former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) praised Harris at a campaign event on Thursday and, with insulting language, suggested she lacked the intelligence to remember past critiques.
"Has Liz Cheney, one of the dumber people in politics, ever looked at the horrible statements she’s made about Lyin’ Kamala Harris?" Trump wrote.
"They’re being posted all over the internet, and Cheney looks even dumber than I thought she was," Trump wrote. "But I still say Kamala is worse!"
Those "horrible comments" include Cheney saying in news interviews in 2020 that she opposed Harris' "radical liberal" policy plans.

Trump also lashed out at Cheney's father, former Vice President Dick Cheney, whose presidential endorsement for Harris his daughter announced last month.
“Dick Cheney will be voting for Kamala Harris," the former Wyoming representative said at the Texas Tribune Festival in Austin. Replied the moderator, "Wow."
Trump appeared less pleased on Friday.
"Every view and policy is the exact opposite of what Cheney and her equally ridiculous father, who got us into the never ending Wars in the Middle East, have stated over the years," Trump wrote.
On Thursday, Cheney in Wisconsin delivered a forceful endorsement of the Democratic nominee, who she praised for dedicating her life to public service.

Cheney also condemned Trump for apparent “depravity" and "cruelty."
One Democratic operative said Cheney's remarks left her with "chills."
