Former President Donald Trump used what was billed as a hurricane relief event Monday to rant about Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz.
During a visit to Valdosta, Georgia, in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, Trump was asked if he had contacted President Joe Biden before making the trip.
"No, I haven't reached out to him, no," the former president said. "I think he's sleeping right now, actually."
Trump also predicted his vice presidential running mate, J.D. Vance, would "do great" at Tuesday night's debate.
"He's a very smart guy. He's done a great job. People like him a lot," he asserted. "And he's against Tampon Tim, I think — who I don't think should have ever been chosen. He's not qualified."
Trump said he had refrained from offering Vance advice before the debate.

"No, he doesn't need it," the former president remarked. "I will. But we've been speaking a little bit back and forth. I think he's in good shape."
