Donald Trump lashed out Thursday at a prominent Fox News anchor who said the former president and Republican nominee "decisively lost" his debate against Vice President Kamala Harris.
Trump took to Truth Social to lambast Neil Cavuto and throw jabs at two liberal-leaning cable news channels, one of them MSNBC, less than a day after his performance at the Philadelphia debate received a pan from the Fox News host.
"Cavuto, Fox’s Lowest Rated Anchor, is one of the WORST on Television," Trump wrote. "I actually prefer the losers at CNN and MSDNC!"
Trump did not explain why he felt compelled to speak out against Cavuto, but one comment from the Fox News anchor has recently been making the rounds.
Video of Cavuto's comment was featured Wednesday night in a Harris campaign tweet and on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" Thursday morning.
"He decisively lost it," Cavuto said. "He might have made some very good presentations on where the economy was, but it was all over the map. This is that first occasion where it wasn't just a close call. It was a lopsided one."

Cavuto is not alone in criticizing the former president's debate performance.
A prominent psychiatrist Thursday said Trump exhibited common signs of mental decline, a panel of swing state voters told The Bulwark the performance made them feel "worse" about the Republican nominee, and former conservative lawmaker Harold Ford Jr. called it a disaster.
"I've got reactions from Republican friends," he said. "Two common things were 'trainwreck' and 'this has to end.'"
