Two CNN anchors were floored that former President Donald Trump reshared a vulgar post on his social media site that suggested Vice President Kamala Harris used sexual favors to advance her career.
On Wednesday morning, Trump shared another Truth Social user's screenshot of a post on X. The image showed Harris and Hillary Clinton with the following text: “Funny how b---jobs impacted both their careers differently…”
When CNN anchor Anderson Cooper asked fellow anchor Abby Phillip to weigh in on the controversy, Phillip replied, "There's no explaining it."
Phillip and Cooper expressed disbelief that Trump could share what Cooper called attacks that "sexually demean one of the most accomplished women in political life."

In response, Phillip said Trump has a pattern — and it's "extremely clear" that when it comes to women who challenge him, "Trump doesn't believe that they would ever be qualified."
She pointed to Trump calling his opponent "dumb" multiple times just this week.
"He could be attacking her on a whole host of substantive things," she said. "But the thing he attacks her on is something that is very clearly false because of the fact that she — of all that she's accomplished, her education et cetera — this is who Trump is. It's also exactly the thing that disturbs moderate independent voters the most about him."
The Trump campaign made Joe Biden's candidacy a question of fitness. Now, Phillip said, that question will be turned onto Trump.
"Every day that he presents himself as somebody who is divorced from reality, someone who cannot handle himself in a presidential way is a problem for him," she said.
