Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz on Tuesday taunted Fox News for the fact that the Republican Party is unable to shed its elderly and unpopular presidential nominee.
During an appearance on the network, host Bill Hemmer criticized Democrats for coordinating to push President Joe Biden to drop out of the presidential race even though he had easily won the 2024 Democratic primary earlier this year.
Walz, however, was ready to push back by suggesting Republicans only wish they had the power to do to Trump what Democrats had done to Biden.
"Democrats are ready to move when the situation warrants it," he said. "It doesn't matter, convictions... failed policies, the Republican Party's stuck with Donald Trump. He's yours, you've got him, welcome to it. The Democratic Party can make our decisions, we pick our nominee."

During his first term in office, Trump became the first American president to have been impeached on two separate occasions. After leaving office, he was indicted on a range of charges including illegally covering up illicit hush-money payments, unlawfully retaining top-secret government documents, and conspiring to defraud the United States with his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election.
Only one of Trump's cases has gone to trial ahead of the election and it resulted in a guilty verdict on 34 felony charges.
