A legal analyst and former federal prosecutor warned Tuesday on MSNBC that the Supreme Court has greenlighted Donald Trump's worst impulses.
MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace started her show with details about "Project 2025," a conservative plot drafted by Trump loyalists about how his administration will run.
On Tuesday, Litman caused the High Court to insert itself and "greenlit" Trump's plans.

"Trump didn't even need green lights before," said Litman. "He went through amber and red ones. That's the stunning point now. He's trying to distance himself as Trump from the 972-page plan."
Litman said that Trump likely didn't read it, or perhaps didn't read past page two, but that it embraces "the enemy's list of who's ever crossed him."
"Second, the absolute gutting of the civil servants, starting with DOJ, is just a manifest danger for what Michael Cohen said, but a whole long laundry list, and that is not even slightly hidden," he continued.
The Project 2025 power grab will allow Trump to control every aspect of the executive branch, from the Justice Department to the IRS. As it stands now, thousands of non-political staff work for the American people. Project 2025 would restaff the government and fill the ranks with political operatives.
"I know we'll talk about this more, but the court has really greenlit it or at least insulated it, and we are in some kind of serious situation here going into November," warned Litman.
Ex-Republican John Heilemann said that Trump is "doing us the favor of saying you want to call me a criminal, fine. Hold my beer."
