President Joe Biden acknowledged his poor debate performance on Friday following a night that sent many in the Democratic Party into full-blown panic and led many to call for him to drop out of the race.
Toward the end of a campaign rally speech to a packed audience of supporters in Raleigh, North Carolina Friday, Biden admitted: "I don't debate as well as I used to."
"I don't walk as easy as I used to," he said. "I don't speak as well as I used to. I don't debate as well as I used to, but I know what I do well: I know how to tell the truth. I know right from wrong and I know how to do this job. And I know how to get things done."
Biden also said he's "not a young man, to state the obvious," leading to cheers of "Joe!"
And the president shared a familiar mantra: "When you get knocked down, you get back up."
Also during his rally, the president slammed former President Donald Trump's "record" number of lies during the debate.

Biden then repeated his debate dig.
"He's got the morals of an alley cat!"
Trump's biggest lie Thursday night, Biden said, was that he lied about how he had "nothing to do with the insurrection of Jan. 6."
"He did not do a single thing to stop it," he said. "And now he wants to pardon all those convicted."
