Someone close to the Palm Beach court where Judge Aileen Cannon is presiding over Donald Trump's classified documents trial has leaked key details about the judge.
According to a New York Times report, the chief judge suggested that Cannon pass off the case to another judge, given she already had a controversial ruling overturned by the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals with a heavy rebuke of her actions. Cannon refused.
MSNBC legal analyst Lisa Rubin noted that the judges who approached Cannon did so twice, escalating their approach. The fact that those from inside the court are leaking the information to the press shows that they believe there is a "break glass moment" in the documents case.

She called the leak from someone in the court "almost as big as the news itself."
'It's somebody literally saying to the American public, all of those concerns you hear about Judge Cannon being out of her depth, in the tank for Donald Trump, those are concerns shared by two colleagues on the bench, and at least one very seasoned judge, the chief judge of the district, which, depending on the district, is possibly given by seniority," said Rubin.
MSNBC host Katy Tur asked if Cannon was just being "thorough in this case."
Rubin said it has been a suggestion and that she has conveyed that she wants to give Trump "every consideration given the gravity of the case, and given who he is."
Still, Rubin explained, Cannon has "indulged a series of legal arguments that many others would dispense with very easily, readily, without oral argument. There is no argument too small for Judge Canon to assign multiple hours of oral argument to, and as a result, this case is on a path toward nowhere."
