CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. (NEWS10) - A restaurant in Washington County has become more than a restaurant, locals consider it a meeting place for friends. Formerly the Cambridge Diner, Country Gals Café is serving up a side of smiles with every order.
Two friends opened Country Gals Café 19 years ago. Todd Akin is an honorary 'Country Gal' after he teamed up with his wife, one of the original owners, to take over the diner together. Over time, they expanded the space to include more seating.
“The atmosphere out here is a blast. You can sit down with a total stranger and be friends before you leave,” said Todd.
Country Gals Café is located at 9 E Main Street in Cambridge, New York. The restaurant is open Wednesday-Sunday.
