BENNINGTON, Vt. (NEWS10) -- The town of Bennington has reported that Elm Street west between Dewey Street and Apple Tree Lane near Monument Avenue is closed to all traffic. The closure will likely be until 6 p.m.
According to the town, there is an open ditch across the road. Town residents and business clients can only use the street from either side of the open ditch, with traffic primarily coming from the Dewey Street side. Chiro-Med clients can only access the street through Dewey Street and the hospital can only be reached through Dewey Street or Monument Avenue.
