RENSSELAER, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Mega Cone Ice Cream Shop in Rensselaer had its grand opening ribbon cutting with the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce on August 1. The shop had its soft opening on June 28.
Mega Cone is owned by couple duos Kyle and Laura Folino and David and Britney Prime. This is Rensselaer's first ice cream store in over a decade.
The shop serves soft serve ice cream and over 32 hard flavors of Perry's Ice Cream. They also have sundaes, banana splits, root beer floats, ice cream nachos, and more.
To celebrate its grand opening weekend through August 4, Mega Cone is offering $1 kiddie cones and every order will be entered into a drawing to win a a Mega Cone shirt. Additionally, you could win $50 gift cards if you take a picture in front of the selfie wall with your ice cream and post and tag Mega Cone on social media, and/or like and share the grand opening post on the Mega Cone Facebook page.
Mega Cone is open every day from noon to 9 p.m. The ice cream shop is located at 141 Broadway.
