SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The U.S. Attorney's Office announced the sentencing of Ocyris Morgan, 36, of Schenectady, in a drug trafficking case. Morgan will now serve 15 years and eight months in prison.
Morgan pleaded guilty back in March to possessing about three-quarters of an ounce of meth with the intent to sell it. The drugs were seized from his house during a search by law enforcement on June 1, 2023.
Morgan also admitted to receiving $10,130 across 12 previous drug sales, during which he sold over 3 ounces of meth and nearly 2 ounces of crack cocaine. He further confessed to owning a firearm and a bulletproof vest.
In addition to his prison time, Morgan was ordered to forfeit the $10,130 and serve a four-year term of post-release supervision.
