COLONIE, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A local school district has unveiled renderings for its new mascot. South Colonie's athletic nickname officially became the Wolf Pack last Monday.
Now, district leaders have released images of the new logo designs. They are keeping the same maroon and gold color combination. The board of education voted in February to retire the old Raiders nickname.
The New York State Board of Education is requiring all public schools to remove mascots and team names with Native American imagery.
