COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) – The killer of a 21-year-old man who was fatally shot near a downtown, Columbus nightclub remains on the loose as police continue to investigate.
According to Central Ohio Crime Stoppers, police are on the lookout for a suspect in the death of Sylvester Watkins, who was shot and killed near the XO nightclub on East Lafayette Street on August 13, 2022.
That morning, at 1:45 a.m., officers arrived at the scene and found Watkins suffering from a gunshot wound. He was listed in critical condition at a hospital, where he died several hours later.
The Columbus Police Homicide Unit was called to investigate and two people were detained at the scene, but no one has been charged yet.
