COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- Two Columbus police officers were involved in collisions and taken to the hospital as part of a chase Tuesday night.
At least one shot was fired during the incident, but it was not immediately clear who took the shot or if the bullet struck anybody.
The pursuit started after a robbery -- called in from Sullivant Avenue -- where jewelry and a bag were stolen, according to Sgt. James Fuqua. Three people were arrested after the chase.
One officer was involved in an accident while on their way to joining the pursuit. They were transported to a nearby hospital in an unknown condition.
During the pursuit, another police cruiser was involved in a crash at the 1100 block of Alum Creek Drive, where the chase ended. The officer in that crash was transported to a hospital in unknown condition.
