COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) - A bar and grill described as a "one of a kind sports bar experience" is opening soon in the former space of a brewery that recently closed.
Draft Day is opening at 1130 Dublin Rd., taking over the former location of Smokehouse Brewing Company. The brewery was open to customers for more than two decades before closing at the beginning of 2024.
TJ Valentino, owner of Draft Day, said that every day will be game day at the new bar. The space will be transformed into a fun, lively spot with a variety of food, drinks and more to choose from.
"We wanted to create a place where people can come together, whether they're passionate about beer, love sports or just want to enjoy great food in a lively setting," said Valentino. "This location has a rich history and we’re excited to carry that legacy forward with a fresh new
experience."
According to Valentino, the sports bar will also be family friendly space, along with several games including dart boards, pool tables with leagues and tournaments. Draft Day will also feature 40 tv's through the venue where fans can watch live sports ranging from football, basketball, soccer and more.
Along with live sports, customers can also expect to see a full menu of foods including sliders, nachos, chicken wings, pulled pork, salads and several other entrees to choose from. This is Valentino's first bar to open and has plans to eventually expand in other Ohio cities, according to Tino Hospitality Group.
The bar is undergoing renovations, but Valentino said Draft Day is expected to open in October.
