Today starts a stretch of hot weather for central Ohio. Gone is our taste of autumn, and going forward our high temps will be near or above the 90 degree mark for at least a week.
The jet stream will lift well to the north and the upper level high pressure will keep our weather very calm. Highs today will be near the 90 degree mark with mostly sunny skies.
Tonight the calm condition will continue. This will also be the last fairly cool night we will see for a while. Lows will fall to the mid 60s. Skies will stay mostly clear.
Tomorrow bumps up the mercury across central Ohio. Highs will be in the low 90s. The dew points will stay relatively low, so there will not be an impressive heat index if any.
The humidity and the temperatures will really increase as the week goes on. Tuesday is expected to be the hottest day of the week reaching the mid 90s. While this hot week goes on, rain chances will be kept to a minimum.
