Good Friday Night,
It has been a more seasonal day today with highs in the low to mid 80s. Tonight will be ideal weather for week 1 of Football Friday Nite, with temps falling from near 80 into the 70s during the games. Overnight lows will drop to the upper to middle 50s outside of town, and near 60 in the city.
Saturday will start with some clouds, but will turn mostly sunny. The area of high pressure will be centered just to our east, so we will have more of southerly flow during the day on Saturday, which means hotter temps, near 90. Isolated showers will be possible on the edge of the ridge, closer to Indiana.
Sunday expect increased heat and humidity, with mostly sunny skies. Still can't rule out a stray shower, mainly in the far northeast later in the day, with highs in the lower 90s. This will be the same thing on Monday with a slight increase in temps, into the middle 90s with upper 90s for heat index values.
Tuesday we will have our warmest, and possibly the muggiest day of the forecast period, with mostly sunny skies, and highs in the mid to upper 90s. Heat index values should get very close to 100, if not just above by mid afternoon on Tuesday.
Wednesday we will have a dry cold front slide through, it will increase clouds a bit, and keep temps in the lower 90s. Behind the front on Thursday, expect mostly sunny skies, and highs around 90. Another system will approach on Friday with highs back in the upper 80s with plenty of sunshine, and likely our best chance of thundershowers late day. This chance is not great, but it is still there.
This could lead to some more substantial relief as we get into Labor Day weekend.
