Happy Friday!
We've got another nice day ahead of us, with just partly cloudy skies, and highs warming a bit, into the upper 80s to near 90 by this afternoon. Luckily, humidity still remains fairly comfortable. Clouds then thicken up this evening, as showers move in overnight.
Expect scattered showers and thunderstorms for Saturday, starting in the morning, and lingering most of the afternoon and evening. It's not a total washout, but we will be looking at scattered activity across the region throughout the day. It will also be very muggy, making temps feel even hotter.
The Storm Prediction Center does have our area under a 2-out-of-5 risk for severe storms, which is lower end, but still something to watch. We'll primarily be monitoring the potential for damaging wind gusts, but there is a very low-end, isolated tornado threat.
That all clears up early Sunday, then we'll see clouds clearing up, with highs falling back to the lower 80s, and humidity dropping.
We kick off the next workweek on a dry note, with highs near 80 Monday, and lots of sunshine.
