The post Big Boy Goes Electric: Tata Harrier EV Confirmed for March 2025 Launch! first appeared on Motoroids.Gear up for an electrifying ride! Tata Motors has confirmed the launch timeline for their highly anticipated Harrier EV, bringing the thrill of a powerful SUV to the world of electric vehicles.
First unveiled as a concept at the 2023 Auto Expo and later showcased at the 2024 Bharat Mobility Show, the Harrier EV has generated immense excitement among SUV enthusiasts. Now, thanks to Tata’s recent Investor Day presentation, we have a confirmed launch date of March 2025.
Following the lead of the Curvv EV and Punch EV, the Harrier EV will leverage Tata’s cutting-edge acti.ev architecture. While sharing the Land Rover-derived Omega platform with its gasoline-powered sibling, the Harrier EV boasts significant re-engineering to accommodate a potent electric powertrain. This translates to a spacious, flat interior for added comfort, along with innovative features like vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) charging capabilities.
Specific details about the battery pack and electric motors remain under wraps for now. However, industry speculations point towards a 60 kWh battery offering a driving range of up to 500 km. What we do know for sure is that the Harrier EV will pack a punch with dual motors, one on each axle, granting it impressive all-wheel-drive capabilities and conquering off-road terrains with ease.
With a starting price expected to be above Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom), the Harrier EV promises to be a premium offering. Its arrival marks a significant step for Tata Motors in the burgeoning electric vehicle market. Rumors suggest more electric and gasoline-powered SUVs are on the horizon from Tata, including the Curvv EV, Curvv petrol/diesel, and Nexon CNG.
