Research by SpareRoom reveals current Premier League managers have enjoyed TWICE as much time in their precarious job (668 days) than housing ministers since 2010 (334 days).
Renters, who represent over a third of the UK’s households, put the housing crisis ahead of cost of living, NHS waiting times, inflation, climate change and immigration as the key issues to be addressed by the government.
The key changes renters want to see include introducing rent caps, getting people into vacant properties, prioritising residential supply over holiday lets and building more homes.
Only 16% said they knew who the current Housing Minister was. Of those who didn’t, just 21% guessed the actual Minister, when presented with a list of names to choose from, while over a third (38%)incorrectly named former Premier League managers as the current Housing Minister.
