Two separate collisions and a fire have caused chaos this morning on the M4, which runs from west London to southwest Wales.
One lane near Bristol is shut after a five-vehicle collision on the westbound carriageway between junction 19 for the M32 and junction 20 for the M5.
Another stretch of the motorway between Berkshire and Wiltshire has been closed following a serious crash between a lorry and a car in the early hours today.
Traffic was stopped on the carriageway between Hungerford (Junction 14) and Swindon (Junction 15). Normal traffic conditions aren’t expected until this afternoon, monitoring website Motorway Cameras said.
