SAN JOSE – Firefighters on Monday night were battling a three-alarm brush fire in the San Jose foothills.
The Quimby Fire was reported around 7:45 p.m. in the 4700 block of Quimby Road, according to the San Jose Fire Department and the Cal Fire Santa Clara Unit.
The fire is comprised of three separate blazes, San Jose fire spokesperson Jake Pisani said.
As of 9:50 p.m., the fire had consumed 35 acres and was 5% contained, according to Cal Fire.
