Apple announced a new iPad Mini this week: the iPad mini 7. Most Apple consumers will probably flock to make their preorders at the Apple store or Amazon, but not you, but there are two better deals out there.
If you have Apple products to trade in, Best Buy is the best bang for your buck (but you should still check what Apple will offer you for your devices). Right now Best Buy is offering up to $260 in credit for different gadgets. If you have an iPad mini 6 in good condition, you can get the full $260. You'll have to go through a questionnaire to find the value based on what conditions your iPad mini 6 is in. To start, hit the “Check Your trade-in value” button under the price. You can also trade Amazon, Google, Microsoft, and other tech devices.
You can also just get the iPad mini 7 from Walmart for $484 (originally $499) if you don't want to trade in anything.
The iPad mini 7 comes with the A17 Pro chip, the same chip found in the iPhone 15 Pro, and one A-series less than the iPhone 16 series uses. It's only a year old and will be supported by Apple for many years. In comparison to the iPad mini 6, it is 30% faster than the iPad mini 6's A15 Bionic chip, but more importantly, it runs Apple Intelligence, including new AI features like notification summaries and AI-powered writing tools. You'll also be able to use the new Apple Pencil Pro with it, have Wi-Fi 6E support, and it starts with 128GB of storage (twice what the iPad mini 6 base model offers).
