I love my storage mirror, which I have may have mentioned before. I bought it on a whim a few months ago, thinking it would help me organize my jewelry and look nice in my apartment, but it quickly became my favorite purchase in recent memory. If you, too, want a new favorite purchase, you can get one for yourself today while they're on sale for Amazon's October Prime Day.
There are a few different deals on storage mirrors going on right now. Here is the one I personally recommend:
The exact one I got, though, is this one, which is not on sale and is instead currently selling for $129.99. The one above, which has the Prime Day deal going on, is similar, if you want to save almost $30. The only notable difference between the one on sale and the one I have is that inside the mirror, where there is storage space for all manner of jewelry and trinkets, mine has a second mirror and this one doesn't. No great loss for $30!
Prime Day also has deals on other, slightly different storage mirrors, like these:
Instead of the regular price of $249.99, this free-standing Songmics LED mirror with internal storage and a hidden shelving unit is $194.98.
A similar free-standing mirror with hidden shelving unit from TYGO is $175.98 (down from $219.98)—and this one has the little mirror inside!
When I started on my mission to overhaul and reorganize my apartment, I knew I was going to need creative storage solutions. I've been working hard to follow the rules of the Organizational Triangle, namely by keeping all similar items together and making sure they all have a designated storage space. Prior to getting the storage mirror—which opens to reveal specific slots for rings, earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and more—all of my jewelry and hair care products were stored in different areas. Some were in the bathroom; others were on shelves in the living room near where I usually do my hair and makeup. Before I started getting ready to go out, I'd have to wander around, picking up everything I'd need and bringing it with me to my plain, boring mirror. The whole system was a mess.
In addition to classing the place up with its sleek look and adding a much-needed full-length mirror to my getting-ready space, this storage mirror enabled me to store all my accessories together. Now there's no external clutter, but everything is still easily within reach when I'm getting ready, so I can whip it open and see exactly what I have, always choosing just the right jewelry or hair clip to match the day's vibe. When I'm done, I just close it up and everything goes back to looking organized from the outside.
I also love the lights. Mine has three light modes on both mirrors ranging from cool, blue-toned light to warm, yellow-toned light. The lights dim, too, and every night, I turn down the outer light and use the whole thing as a makeshift nightlight, illuminating my living room just enough so I don't trip and cause some sort of bodily catastrophe if I have to get up in the middle of the night.
