I love to shop. I love to decorate. I love to make everything around me, especially my home, as cute and functional as possible. I also love saving money. With October Prime Day upon us, I'm prepared to do all of that at the same damn time. Here's what I'm buying to decorate, organize, and revitalize my space, in case you need any inspiration.
I am always on the lookout for new ways to organize and streamline my home routine and belongings. I need shelving—I always need more shelving. I've had this lamp/shelf combo in my cart for weeks now, since I rearranged my clothing rack and it started blocking my overhead light from reaching the far side of my living room—but I didn't feel like paying $49.99 for it. You can imagine how excited I was this morning to discover it's marked down to $33.67 for the shopping holiday.
I'm all about multi-function furniture, so something that illuminates the space and has room to hold some of my possessions and decorations is right up my alley. That said, I'm also eyeing two storage ottomans. I recommend those a lot because they're super functional and do a great job of keeping miscellaneous items hidden away and organized, but I haven't found any that match my apartment well enough to swap out what I already have. That is, until today, when I found these:
The other things I'm nabbing are simple maintenance items, for the most part. I've mentioned before that I started buying cheap Amazon rugs instead of expensive, fancy ones so I don't feel as much anxiety around cleaning and maintaining them. As summer drew to a close, I noticed there sure was a lot of self-tanner staining my old rug and made a mental note to pick up a new one. I usually get one like this, which retails for around $27 and is now just under $18 for the shopping holiday. It's not a massive savings, sure, but I like waiting to buy things I know I have to get anyway until I can get a deal.
I'm also going to pick up one or two of these small pink lamps for side tables, since they're just $19.99 right now. They're slim and, with a fun half-moon shape, and I like having a variety of easy lighting options. To make the most of them, I'm also adding in some smart outlets, which are on sale for $19.99 for a pack of four. This way, I can turn my new lamps on and off using my voice or my phone because I am lazy.
Finally, as I am always on a never-ending quest to better store my bags and boots, I'm getting this unique stuffed animal holder that creates a kind-of netted enclosure in the corner of a room. My plan here is to see if it's strong enough to hold larger, more unmanageable accessories and give my clothing rack a bit of a break. For $18.39, why not?
